My first public singing performance was when I was 16 –
I dressed up in a clown suit and came out of a big silver present
singing (you guessed it) ‘Send in the Clowns’.
Needless to say my choices and interpretive skills had not
yet blossomed.
In addition to musical theater, I’ve appeared in various
bands and lounge acts, and in 1993 I co-wrote and starred
in ‘Yesterday Once More – Growing Up with the
Carpenters’ at the Hill Street Theatre in Edinburgh,
Scotland. I’m told I sound like Karen Carpenter but
I have my own style as well. I also do the occasional radio
jingle and power intro.
Bruce Knight is my accompanist (and my husband, which is
handy). Click HERE to listen to
some samples, which are also available on my free demo CD,
which you can order by clicking HERE.
